Type Gems are items that can be used as both held items and as an ingredient in TM production.
Natural Generation
Type Gems generate underground as exposed crystal formations in air-exposed Deepslate caves throughout the Overworld.
Each crystal formation generates as a randomly selected gem type that grows from a Deepslate Crystal Core.
Obtaining
Mining
Type Gems can be obtained by mining Type Gem Blocks and Type Gem Clusters using an Iron Pickaxe or better.
Each stage of growth of a cluster yields a differing amount of gems:
| Stage | Yield |
|---|---|
| (cycle through stage 1 clusters here) | 1 |
| (cycle through stage 2 clusters here) | 1 |
| (cycle through stage 3 clusters here) | 1 |
| (cycle through stage 4 clusters here) | 2-3 |
| (cycle through gem blocks here) | 1-2 |
Exploration
Type Gems can be found in any ruin structure both in gilded chests as well as in suspicious blocks.
