Type Gems can be used on a Deepslate Crystal Core to plant growing crystal clusters that mature into additional crystal blocks.

A single core can grow up to a maximum of 7 connected Type Gem blocks.

Each stage of growth of a cluster yields a differing amount of gems:

Stage Yield
(cycle through stage 1 clusters here) 1
(cycle through stage 2 clusters here) 1
(cycle through stage 3 clusters here) 1
(cycle through stage 4 clusters here) 2-3
(cycle through gem blocks here) 1-2
