A Link Cable is an evolution item that is used to evolve Pokémon that evolve via trading.

Link cables can be found rarely in chests in Villages, Strongholds, Woodland Mansions, Pillager Outposts, Igloos, End Cities, and Ancient Cities.
Usage
The link cable is used to evolve Pokémon that evolve via trade.
Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler, Alolan Graveler, Haunter, Boldore, Gurdurr, Phantump, and Pumpkaboo can be evolved by using a link cable on them.
Poliwhirl, Slowpoke, Onix, Scyther, Seadra, Porygon, Porygon2, Clamperl, Feebas, Rhydon, Electabuzz, Magmar, Dusclops, Spritzee, and Swirlix can be evolved by using a link cable while the Pokémon is holding a specific item.
History

- 1.1.0 - The texture of the link cable has been changed.
- 1.3.0 - Link cables are no longer dropped by any Pokémon.
- 1.3.1 - Link cables now require Pokémon to hold any held item normally required for their evolution.

Prior to Cobblemon version 1.3, the only method of obtaining a link cable was via a rare Pokémon drop. Since version 1.3, Pokémon can no longer drop the link cable.
